Discovering the Creative Within - Facilitated by Herta Klassen
Herta shares, “I love that the first introduction we have of God is as creator. Because we humans are made in the 'image of God' could it be that, within us, we carry this same DNA of creativity? In our time together I'm inviting you into a spacious place of discovery, beauty and soul food." This is a painting workshop; however, previous experience is not needed. Come play with paint!
Herta paints in watercolors and acrylics and finds that the beauty of creation offers an endless source of inspiration and contemplation. Together with her husband Ken, home is Nicola Lake, in the beautiful Nicola Valley of BC. Time spent with Herta is always deeply soul nourishing! Her openness to God’s love and healing presence will flow through her and your creative time together.
Walking With Wisdom - Facilitated by Katherine Murray
In this interactive workshop you are invited to reflect on your relationship with Wisdom and explore listening & discerning the presence and action of Wisdom in your own heart and life.
Katherine is passionate about spiritual formation and transformation, and the spiritual practices that support these and deepen our awareness of God. She loves the Christian mystics and deeply values the Wisdom offered by other faith traditions. Katherine is a spiritual director, retreat & group leader, and is the Associate Director of the Centre for Spiritual Renewal at St. Dunstan's.
Recalled to Our Essence - Facilitated by Lorie Martin & Nancy den Boesterd
Collaging is a creative way to move with images that connect to our soul and the story of our lives. In this workshop we will explore our true Essence and be invited to deepen into the truth and beauty of who we are using images and a variety of creative materials. Knowing who we are leads us into an understanding of who God is and how we are One.
Lorie loves the art of collage! She finds the creative process and completed art piece deeply evocative and healing. Lorie is passionate about the soul journey where we move layer by layer to the inner core of our Being and become aware of our union with God and work through our issues to healing and freedom. Lorie is the priest at St. Thomas Chilliwack, and Director of The Centre for Spiritual Renewal at St. Thomas. She is mother to five children and lives at Lindell Beach with her husband & kayak :)
Nancy began collaging with Soulcollage©. Recently at a silent retreat, she experienced collage as both artistic expression and spiritual practice, which broadened her experience of the art form. She loves the process of bringing elements together. The end result will be a surprise, and that is part of the beauty. Nancy is a Spiritual Director having graduated from Pacific Jubilee SOULGUIDING. She is an active member of St Thomas Parish and considers herself a spiritual seeker continually looking for ways to deepen her journey.
