Partnering in Chilliwack

STIS Swallowtail Trauma Integration Society is one of the not-for-profit organizations the Parish of St. Thomas partners with. Their aim is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge treatment and therapies to persons impacted by trauma, but for whom accessing treatment may be made more difficult by barriers such as poverty, sex, race, gender identity, or other systemic and/or institutional obstacles.

With the help of Jolene Friesen and her colleagues, many people are able to find homes, food, and supplies to function independently, while others simply need support, free of judgement, in order to stay safe.

Swallowtail Society has been designated a recipient of Care+Share contributions through the Diocese of New Westminster.

Some of our other initiatives include warm clothing collection in the winter, food bank donations, and healthy snacks for kids.
