We began our Holy Week journey by reenacting Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. In celebration of the Liturgy of the Palms, the congregation waved palm crosses and branches, singing praises to the Lord! The ancient gospel was shared during a children’s story time at the front of the church, and the choir led everyone in choruses of hosannas. Many thanks to our choir (Jan, Gail, and Lesley), led by Christine Millar and Jennifer McGregor.
A celebration of Lord’s Passion, with foot-washing, Communion, song, and story. We were guided through the solemn events of Jesus’ last night with his disciples. Christine was joined by Michele and Christian (violin). Jan and Lesley on vocals.
At the Cross: A service of the Lord’s Passion with meditation stations, organ music, and hymns. All had the opportunity to meditate at the cross and at prayer stations in the church, reflecting on the holy love of Christ that inspired his great sacrifice for all of us. Our lovely choir was led by Rowland Amos, also on keyboard and organ.
The week ends with Holy Saturday and the Vigil of Easter, in anticpation of Jesus' Resurrection.
In case you missed any of the above services, they are available on our YouTube Channel, with thanks to our technician Ben Northgraves for his expertise.
